Who We Are
The Catholic Women's League (CWL) is a lay association of Catholic women recognized by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB). The League works to promote Catholic values and engages charitable work in the parish.
Our Mission
The Catholic Women's League of Canada is a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God.
If you want to make a difference in the world, enrich your faith, and uphold family life, consider joining the CWL. Through your membership, you can support charitable outreach projects locally and around the world.
What We Do
There is a place for you in the CWL! We are grateful for your gift of time, however great or small, whether it's planning parties or assisting with a special event. Our committees would be delighted to have your participation:
- Spiritual Development - to help us grow in our Christian Catholic faith
- Organization - recruiting new members and keeping in touch
- Christian Family Life - marriage and family, vocations, and the sanctity of life
- Community Life - social justice at home and abroad
- Education & Health - Catholic education, women's health, environmental concerns
- Communications - within the CWL and out to our parishes and communities
- Resolutions - current issues we care about that government needs to act on
- Legislation - since laws affect us all
Our Meeting
Our General Meeting is on the first Wednesday of the month at 8:00 PM in the hall (Holy Trinity Family Activity Centre). Our Ministry Sunday is every third Sunday of the month at the 11:00 AM Mass.
How to Join
We welcome all women ages 16 and older, Catholic and non-Catholic alike. As women, we understand that attending every meeting is not always possible; we encourage you to join us whenever you can. We welcome the gifts and talents you have to offer.
